What a sad, sad day... I remember as a kid watching Evel on TV.  We were always amazed at what he could do, and what he attempted to do.  For Christmas one year, I received an Evel Knievel motorcycle toy and van - the motorcycle fit in the back, and you could make him travel from place to place in the house to jump over things.  That toy was, of course, destroyed with all my other childhood posessions when I turned that box of history over to my children, but the memories are still alive in me.

Thanks Evel for all the great times, and great memories. You are still an icon of American culture and we'll miss you!
