What I’m looking for is some assistance with Project Portfolio Server. I have a client using this application and have been contracted to do a number of things. The main portion of work is backend, accessing the database and using it for some custom reporting services. This is going very well (although it would be nice to have a guide map instead of having to figure it all out).
There is another part of the project though, one that I thought would be relatively straight forward, which has me at a loss. The requirements are to add some “tabs”, various fields, edit existing fields, etc. to expand the usability of the app. I’ve not been able to find how to do this with many searches for documentation, although it seems built into the system – I just can’t find it in the UI.
What I’m really looking for is some guidance on how to do this and/or a resource to help me with it. There isn’t a lot of work needed and most of it will be redundant, so once we learn how to manipulate it we should be good to go from there.
Is it possible to add new “tabs” to PPS? Can fields be demarked as text or numerical? Can free-form text boxes be added by way of the UI, without editing code? Any insight into this would be excellent.
