Project Portfolio Server 2007 Service Pack 2 download page
Highlight of Portfolio Server 2007 SP2:
I have read a few posts indicating that MOPPS2007/SP2 has trouble talking to SSRS2008 (32-bit) out of the box and that changes to the web.config are required to get this to work. Do you have any knowledge of this and if so, can you post a typical solution to this problem? We are evaluating just such an architecture and we are unsure whether to use SSRS2008 or SSRS2005. Thank you.
Hi Christophe,
How to install the Portfolio Server 2007 reporting components on a
separate reporting services farm that is 64 bit. When I try to run the
install it tells me it can't install on a 64 bit machine. It doesn't give me
the option to get to the reporting piece.
Please help me out....does microsoft provide any support for this?
That's because it's not supported! I recommend you consider the new Portfolio Strategy capabilities of Project Server 2010 which is due out next month which is now 64-bit.
Hi christophe,
Thanks for ur reply.
I am having a lot of problems with microsoft project portfolio server 2007 and configuring it with SQL Server reporting services 2008(32 bit) so I moved to SSRS 2005 and I am trying to test the SSRS connection with MOPPS using the two tests they have mentioned in MOPPS deployment guide (page 71 to be precise).
I cleared one test where I can see the reports folder with sample reports in reportserver. But the second test is giving me a lot of problems. When I do the export to excel it throws an error. I was wondering if I need to install excel on the server. If yes, We are still using office 2003 so, Is that a problem ?
Please help me out with this situation .....
