* For more details on managed vs. unmanaged solutions click here. * Download the Sample Data and unzip the folder before starting the setup process.
Note: This data is based on US Dollar currency. If your currency is not US Dollar you must add the USD currency with the proper conversion rate to your base currency before proceeding.
Note: If you encounter any errors during the data import process address them before continuing to import additional entities as future dependencies may be compromised.
This is great! A reason to continue to love Microsoft and their drive to empower people with knowledge and computing power! Thanks! Great stuff!
I just posted a Demonstration Script to accompany this Kit. It is located in the same SkyDrive folder as the other Demonstration Assets. skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx
When importing the solution I get an error on the relationship goal_DuplicateBaseRecord and the details are: A SQL Server error occured. Try this action again.
When I try it again, I get the same error.
6/23/2011 - Fixed an issue with the Product.xml import file. The updated files can be accessed via the links in the post above.
@Jason - I just tested importing the Solution into an org that is hosted out of the EMEA (UK) and APAC (AUS) datacenters. I was able to successfully import the data and Solution. Remember one of the important setup steps mentioned in the beginning of the setup document is to add US Dollar as a Currency in your CRM org before starting the import of data or the solution. I have made some modifications to the Demonstration Kit in the past couple days so perhaps re-download and try importing into a new / clean org.
Can this kit be imported to on-premise server?
@David - Yes.

Tried to import CRM2011CoreScenario_1_0_0_0_managed[1].zip - ZIP archive, unpacked size 2,540,823 bytes
Get error that zip file doesn't contain correct files or file is corrupt.
Any ideas. Tried 4 times.
Seamem, the most important thing before you use the Demo kit is to download a US version of the trial. I tried in the Spanish and UK versions and I got loads of errors uploading the data.
which version of the trial are you using?

Hello,
I'm trying to import the solution in an empty CRM2011 on premise (UK) installation (with RU3 installed on it).
The Import Customization -- Webpage Dialog screen is still with a blanc bar for 30 minutes now. It looks like nothing is happening.
Both with the managed and unmanaged solution by the way.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
