I just wanted to share with our blog followers that the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Implementation Guide (IG) and Software Development Kit (SDK) are now available on MSDN and TechNet!  These have both been available via download since CRM 2013 released, but they were just recently published to MSDN and TechNet.  They should be indexed now or very soon and searchable via your favorite web search engine.  Bing of course!

IG- http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699811(v=crm.6).aspx

SDK - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg309408(v=crm.6).aspx

I prefer the online links for ease of searching via Bing and also because you will always have the most recent versions of the IG and SDK as they are updated quarterly.

Enjoy!

Thanks!

  • Is there anything that explains how to use the ADFS in Windows Server 2012 R2 in conjunction with CRM 2013? Seems nobody can get it working ... see community.dynamics.com/.../114317.aspx and community.dynamics.com/.../114725.aspx, among others. Seems nobody from Microsoft has explained how to do this.

  • Any idea if the SDK is now VS 2013 compatible?

  • @Mike- Yes, we have just recently updated our white paper with details on this topic.  www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

Here is a blog with all the white papers and technical documentation for CRM 2013: blogs.msdn.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-crm-2013-white-papers-amp-technical-documentation.aspx

@Paco - I am not sure what you mean by compatible, but the SDK is documentation and code samples and you can open, view and work with these in VS 2013.  Please explain more if you are having specific issues.

  • Hello Shawn,

I found VS 2010 and VS 2012 listed as the supported systems in the download page of the SDK and no reference to VS 2013

  • Awesome Shawn, I'll take another look at the whitepaper and see if I can get it up and running!

  • @Paco-  Thanks for clarifying that.  I am guessing that just needs to be updated to start VS 2013 support as well.  I can't think of anything that wouldn't work today.  I reached out to the SDK documentation team to ask about this and will let you know what I find out.  Thanks for bringing this up!

  • @Paco - The SDK download page has now been updated to reflect that VS 2013 is supported.  Thanks again for pointing that out!
