So I'm back in Seattle, fresh from my presentation at @media in London. It was a great experience, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the response. The room was pretty full for my presentation, although I was up against Dave Shea of CSSZenGarden talking about web design in the other track (a bit of a bummer, since I wanted to listen to Dave's talk). It was great to talk with so many web designers and developers afterward and hear how many of them get it - not that IE7 is the penultimate web browser, but that we're on the right track and we're making their lives better.
It made me feel really good, and it made me very proud of my team.
On the "strange but true" note, the network tap on the desk in my hotel (City Inn Westminster) room was marked simply with an IE logo:
