Yes, the Duwamish River is named after the Duwamish tribe. Lots and lots of place names around here are named for the tribes that lived near them.

The second note. The Google link takes you to the &amp;quot;How can you buy or sell the sky&amp;quot; speech, which has been attributed to Chief Seattle (Sealth, to be more correct). This speech is widely considered to be a fabrication. Very strangely, the best site I found about it is from Australia.
