A lot of speaking engagements these days. Which results in not a lot of blog reading, let alone blogging ...

Last Thursday evening I was asked to do a 2-hour talk on for the students of the . The talk went fairly well with a lot of demos. Especially the demos were appreciated.

It's great to see that these students learn programming using the and . Later on this year they will even be touching briefly on the .NET Framework 3.0 technologies. Besides the .NET Framework they've already started with .

Given the adoption of the Microsoft .NET developer platform and the 2007 Office system in Belgium most of these students should not get any trouble in finding a job! I'm pretty sure they will be well prepared for there first job.

Next Tuesday, October 10, I'll be attending an seminar on "". Speakers at this seminar will be and . As I've been doing lately and have worked my way through the , I'm curious how the different AJAX frameworks and solutions will be positioned. Microsoft AJAX will be covered too. But as none of the speakers have a background in Microsoft technologies (eg ASP.NET 2.0) ...

I planned to attend Alain's talk on early July but due to a conflict in my agenda I wasn't able to make it. Hopefully we can have a chat on Tuesday.
