&lt;p&gt;As I'm sure many other maths geeks will be telling you there are drill bits that cut square holes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Do the google (or should that be Bing!) thing and have a look at the Reuleaux Triangle and the Watts Brothers Tool Works &lt;/p&gt;
