Thank you for stopping by.

Though I have been working with SharePoint for over 9 years, I only just recently decided to start a Blog.

Why you ask? I work in the US Public Sector Federal Team and have found over the past few years that there are very few SharePoint Blogs that focus on how Government Agencies can use SharePoint.

Will this Blog have value to readers outside of Government…Absolutely!

Federal Agencies and Governments in General have the following unique requirements:

  • Government require Increased Security Configurations
  • Government need to improve internal communications without sacrificing security
  • Government data must be shared efficiently within and across agencies, while honoring the need for privacy.
  • Government performance and accountability goals must be met.
  • Government needs to leverage and integrate with existing investments
  • Government needs to analyze mountains of data for “good idea” trends and actionable data
  • Government need Best-Practices and Governance for SharePoint at addresses their unique needs and internal constraints
  • Government requires Enterprise Scalability and Reliability (99.999 and scale to millions of users)
  • Government needs Information Control

Now, if your organization or company is struggling with any of the above, you too will find good advice and help in this Blog.

I expect to start off making postings rapidly over the next few weeks and months, but eventually fall into a  rhythm of posting weekly or bi-weekly to roll-up ideas, thoughts, solutions, and collateral that I have found interesting.
