Why do I need a tablet PC to use the ink features when I have a graphics tablet on a desktop PC?
I was all excited when I read the title of this articles but am now sad, as I just lost 1 day of modifications in my OneNote page.
The bug you have fixed is not the same bug that I have been seeing in the last two versions of Onenote. I filled out a bug report, again. The 1st bug report was for OneNote 2007 and was specifically regarding the ink.
Maybe this can help you : connect.microsoft.com/.../cannot-annotate-printout-that-is-open-in-two-instances-of-onenote-2010-on-the-same-pc
By the way, the fix works fine with a single instance of OneNote!
Thanks for fixing that so quickly and excuse my somewhat ticked off previous post. I should of tested the fix on a OneNote section that did not contain crucial class notes...
That being said, the previous version feature in OneNote 2010 is really neat and saved me big time here.
It would be cool to have an option to make changes save faster than once a day for the previous versions. Or is that what the backup interval is for ?
I am still seeing the problem after the fix is installed. Scenario: Printed a pdf to OneNote 2010 32-bit. Wrote on the page in ink. Then switched to Type Text then clicked on the page where I wanted to type in my text. Clicked to insert an audio recording and the recording and the ink that I had moved to the bottom of the page.
What the hell?? This update WON'T solve the issue. I already did the update and I'm still seeing the problem. Thank you M$ u just destroyed my 1 hour's worth of inking.
@Robin, graphic tablets work well with OneNote. You can use it to add ink, the same way you would use a tablet pc.
I don't know if the problem that try to solve is the problem that I have.
I can use the text cursor with a mouse without problem. When I first enter something with the pen, If I go back to the mouse the selection is shifted about an inch up-right. And only solves this behavior closing onenote 2010. The strange is that if I double click with the mouse, it first select the shifted position and on the second click goes to the point where the arrow is. If this description is not clear I can make a video with the behavior.
Are there any updates available that will cause SharePoint synchronization to happen faster with the OneNote 2010 client? It will only sync every 10 minutes. When opening the same notebook in the browser on two different computers (under two different accounts), the changes are synchronized quickly.
This is a comment on another subject because I don't know where to post it. Sorry.
ANy idea when your OneNote2007 Sot Add-ins will be modified to support OneNote2010? They were a GREAT addition to OneNote2007 and now that I'm using OneNote2010 I SURE MISS THEM!!!!
I noticed that One Note ink gets white lines through it when I scroll up or down the page. I can fix it by scrolling up and down a bunch of times really quickly. What would cause this?
Hi Daniel. Been long time fan and supporter of OneNote. I appreciate this latest update, but I STILL face problems of sporadically moving ink. If I insert a space, insert text section, or move a block of ink (with the insert space function) not all the ink would move together. Worst is that I would save and then when I come back my notes are jumbled.
This is a very scary experience, and it's chipping away at my faith in One
note. I love OneNote, but I need to feel safer storing my notes inside it. Any tips on what I can do to protect the integrity of my notes?
Please let us all know.
Same thing for me. Latest fix KB2433299 wich replaced KB2288640 is not fixing ink shifting problem. OneNote also crashed a couple of times when moving things around, but maybe that's another problem.
