David Meego - Click for blog homepageAn update for the Business Activity Statement (BAS) and Pay As You Go (PAYG) reporting module for Australian GST (Goods and Services Tax) and PAYG Withholding tax has been released for Microsoft Dynamics GP versions 9.0 and 10.0  Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 already includes the changes in this update.

The update includes changes to the PAYG Payment Summary reports for the Financial Year ending 30thJune 2010 (FY10) so that they are compliant with the latest specifications from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).  The reports are now compliant with PAYG Payment Summary Specification 10.0 (Oct 2009) and Self Printing PAYG Summaries Specification 5.1 (Nov 2009), which are required for FY10.

The compliance status is shown on the About Pay As You Go Payment Summary Report window which can be accessed from Reports >> Company >> PAYG Summary Report and then clicking on the About PAYG Summary button. See screenshot below:

Note: The update also includes a bug fix for an issue reporting zero valued (tax free) tax entries entered against General Ledger Journals.

It is highly recommended that this update is applied to all v9.0 and v10.0 customer sites that have Australian companies before the PAYG Payment Summary reports for FY10 are printed.
