I'm taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2010 and hoping to raise much needed funds for charity.

Since 1988, the Starlight Children's Foundation has been brightening the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families throughout Australia. By choosing to support Starlight you are helping us to continue to provide innovative programs designed to lift the spirits of these children, young people and their families when they need it most.

Starlight needs your help now more then ever - in the current economic climate Starlight is finding funding is continuing to be increasingly challenging. We are so thankful for the individuals like yourself to help us to exist, every little bit certainly does count:

• $50 will help keep Captain Starlight in your local Children's Hospital for one hour bringing fun, laughter and support to 29 children
• $100 will mean the Starlight Express Room can open for an extra 2 hours providing positive distraction for 58 children
• $200 will send a family on a Starlight Escape together for a day, giving them a desperately needed break
• $6000 will fund a Starlight wish, the "once in a lifetime" dream for a child living with serious illness or disability
