My session yesterday went very well. Current score is 7.95 which makes it the second highest session from the track so far - John's Realizing SOA session currently scores an 8.17 and there are several other sessions in the high 7's. It's very interesting...

I wasn't kidding about the calm before TechEd - I've been slammed for the last 36 hours - hence the lack of posts. Between 11,000+ attendees, our Road Rally and having to fill in for Pat, I'm only just now getting a chance to blog, 36 hours after TechEd...

I just finished reading this great book on architecture. It talks about governance, optimizing ROI, the importance of precision measurements, the opportunity found in inefficiency and how that inefficiency is often perpetuated by "conventional wisdom...

Among my other duties, I am co-ower of the architecture track at this year's TechEd . We've got a great track lined up, including two new sessions from Pat Helland in his Metropolis series. You can see an earlier version of the original Metropolis session...

Welcome to the temporary home of DevHawk. I'm guessing (hoping?) many of the people who read my blog regularly also monitor the MSDN blog feed and will notice that I am back online here. My friend who hosts DevHawk for me out of the kindness of his heart...
