James Reinders is a senior engineer at Intel, joining the company in 1989. He has contributed to projects including systolic arrays systems WARP and iWarp, and the world's first TeraFLOP supercomputer (ASCI Red), as well as conducting compilers and architecture work for multiple Intel® processors and parallel systems. Reinders has been a driver behind Intel's role as a major provider of software development products, and serves as their chief software evangelist. His most recent book is Intel Threading Building Blocks from O'Reilly Media, which has been translated into Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. He has also published numerous articles, contributed to several books, and is widely interviewed on parallelism. Reinders received his B.S.E. in electrical and computing engineering and M.S.E. in computer engineering from the University of Michigan.

During the Intel Software Conference 2011, I met James Reinders for a short interview. This time James gives us his personnel view about what is a typical parallel developer and why he loves TBB. He explains also, a new feature in VTune EX: Frame base analysis. Then we move on GPU field and the MIC (Many Integrated Core) processor.  We conclude on Intel and Microsoft relationship.
