I've been sent this link from someone out in the HPC community so in the best interests of Microsoft Partners I thought it only fair to share it:

http://www.winhpc.org

There's some really interesting content on this site and certainly worth having a look.

It's interesting how becoming involved with HPC has changed some of the conversations I am now having with the Research Community.  It's added an extra dimension to earlier conversations which were mostly dominated by the processes of:

  • Publication
  • CRM
  • Fund Management
  • Collaboration

Now, Microsoft is talking about allowing eScientists to use their brains for the science they are passionate about rather than on fixing code segments or hunting for various Operating System dependecies.  This is then helping us to fulfil our mission to enable people to delegate complexity to software.
