&lt;p&gt;program.fs(20,21): error FS0001: Type mismatch. Expecting a&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;(string * sample list) list -&amp;gt; int&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;but given a&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;(string * sample list) list -&amp;gt; unit.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The type &amp;#39;int&amp;#39; does not match the type &amp;#39;unit&amp;#39;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;program.fs(24,8): error FS0001: This expression has type&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;unit&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;but is here used with type&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;int&lt;/p&gt;
