Oracle Warns of Critical DB Server Vulnerabilities

The database server giant plans to issue patches for at least 41 vulnerabilities

"Two of these vulnerabilities may be remotely exploited without authentication, i.e., may be exploited over a network without the need for a username and password," the company warned.

I fail to understand why the Oracle community puts up with this.

  • Maybe there are trying to catch up with MS?

Whith MS track record you have some nerve to issue such a comment.

YES, SQL Server is the most secure database around, but MS products as a whole (Windoze and IE particularly) have a bloody history.

Vista is more secure...but close to unusable in enterprise environment. Sometimes it is much better to shut up (and that could apply to me also I suppose :-) but at least I know it)

  • *sigh*

  • Dan,

Because the Oracle crowd is like the Apple crowd.

Microsoft sucks.  Oracle/Apple can do no wrong.

Microsoft is an evil empire that must be destroyed at all costs.  Apple/Oracle are beacons of light in the darkness that is our lives.

    Need I go on?

Those idiots at Blizzard should have put World of Warcraft on SQL.
