Canadian Payroll Midyear Tax Update has released.

The Canadian Payroll 2012 Midyear tax update has released for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 and 2010.

The changes in this update include Ontario and Nova Scotia.

Once the update is installed the Last Tax Update field in the Payroll Control Setup – Canada window (Microsoft Dynamics GP menu >> Tools >> Setup >> Payroll – Canada >> Control) should be 06/15/2012.

Table Links in Extender

There are many times we see that a user removes a record from Microsoft Dynamics GP, but the Extender data is left in the database. If a new record is creating that happens to have the same Key on it, the data then links to that new record. Using the Table Links, it is possible to have the Extender data removed when the Microsoft Dynamics GP data it is linked to is removed as well.

Linking an Extender Window to a table ensures that the Extender Window's data is deleted when the corresponding Microsoft Dynamics GP table record is removed. A window can be linked to more than one table. When linked to more than one table, the Extender Window data will only be deleted when there is not a corresponding record in any of the linked tables.

If you link an Extender Window to a work table and not the corresponding history table, then the Extender data will be deleted when the record is posted because the data is removed from the work table during posting. We recommend that you actually just link to the history table if all of your data is moved to history eventually. This way the Extender data will only be removed if you remove history on that record.

To link a window to a table:
1. Open the window you want to link to in Extender.
2. Select Options - Table Links to open the Table Links window.
3. Click the Add button above the Table Links list.

4. Select the Product, Series and Table that you want to link to.
5. Match the Key Fields on the window to fields in the Table.

6. Click Save.
7. Relaunch Microsoft Dynamics GP to enable the Table Links.

SafePay Transactions Upload window does not populate in Microsoft Dynamics GP

SafePay allows the customer to generate a list of checks and voids (from Payables Management and Payroll) that they can upload to the bank. When a check is presented to the bank to be cashed, the bank will compare the amount and information on the check to the uploaded SafePay file, as a security and fraud prevention measure.

In Microsoft Dynamics GP, the user can generate the upload file to send to the bank, if they have purchased SafePay. However, we have received several support incidents where the SafePay Transactions Upload window is blank and does not populate in Microsoft Dynamics GP. If it's the user's first time using SafePay, we often find they are not registered for the Bank Reconciliation module. However, if the user has been using SafePay for some time, we usually find that the check has already been uploaded and it will not upload again. The check can only be uploaded once to the bank.

Here is a running list of potential reasons why the SafePay Transactions Upload window is completely blank:

The checkbook ID that the check was generated in is not linked to the Bank Upload ID in SafePay.
The check date does not fall within the Last Upload Date and Upload Cutoff Date range specified in the SafePay-Transactions Upload window.
The checks have already been uploaded. Review the SafePay Transactions History window for the check number.
The Customer is not registered for the Bank Reconciliation module. Note: The CM20200 table will be empty if they are not registered for Bank Reconciliation.
The default 'DD' prefix was removed from the Next Earnings Statement Number (ie. Direct Deposit number) in Payroll, so the system treats all checks with the same beginning digit as direct deposits and does not include them in the SafePay upload.
A third party product may be interfering. Disable any 3rd party products and test again.

Error Exporting to Excel from Business Portal 5.1 for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 in Internet Explorer 9

If you're using Business Portal 5.1 for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 along with Internet Explorer 9 and attempt to export the results of a query to Excel you may have received the following "Results not copied to Excel" error:

This generally happens when the result set you are exporting is large (~1000 records or greater).

When exporting a Business Portal query to Excel we utilize a java script file in your Business Portal installation folder. We have worked with our development team to come up with a fix for this issue.

This workaround involves modifying the DataCenter.js file that is found in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\BusinessPortal\Portal\Datacenter directory on your Business Portal server. The steps are as follows:

1) First, make a backup of DataCenter.js

2) Then, open DataCenter.js in Notepad

3) Search this file for "//Size it"

4) Edit the file as follows to add the alert section:

6) Reload Business Portal and export a query to Excel. You should now receive the alert prompt, which will give the site the short amount of extra time it needs to successfully export to Excel.

NOTE: You may find that you need to run IISRESET before this change will take effect.

Implementing this quick fix should allow you to successfully export your Business Portal query data to Excel after you have upgraded to IE9.

Performance issue with the Received/Not Invoiced report in Purchase Order Processing

Have you ever had a situation where you have been running the “Received/Not Invoiced Report” in Purchase Order Processing and performance has significantly declined.

If this has happened to you try moving all Closed and Cancelled POs to history. Many times running that process alone improves performance drastically. The report is going through the data in the POP10500 and determining which POs have not been invoiced. Every document is looked at regardless of the status. We can drastically improve performance by moving the Closed and Cancelled POs (that wouldn’t show on the report anyway) to history.

Resolution

Move Closed and Cancelled POs to history therefore clearing up some unneeded searches.

1. Check the setup in the ‘Purchase Order Processing Setup’ window (Microsoft Dynamics GP menu >> Tools >> Setup >> Purchasing >> Purchase Order Processing) and verify the checkboxes are marked to Maintaining history.

2. Move Closed and Cancelled Purchase orders to history by navigating to the ‘Remove Completed Purchase Orders window’ (Microsoft Dynamics GP menu >> Tools >> Routines >> Purchasing >> Remove Completed Purchase Orders)

Note: Select a Document Date range to move the older documents to history if you want most current POs to stay in the open tables.

Note: After running this process you will still be able to access your historical purchase orders. When in the inquiry windows select to include "Historical Purchase Orders'.

3. Re-run the report.

Microsoft Dynamics GP and the Concur Import

Concur Standard, Professional, and Premier are Web-based solutions that automate each step of the expense reporting process. Concur is integrated with the Microsoft Dynamics GP financial management solution through the use of Concur Expense Integrator.

A common question that we receive in regards to Microsoft Dynamics GP and the Concur Import is the following: Will you help me with the Concur setup window as I cannot get the import to work correctly?

Oftentimes, we find that the customer is using Concur Standard. Concur Standard is a little bit different than the Professional and Premier offerings, as this gives you the ability to create your own file extract definition. The Standard Edition only has 25 possible columns, but we need to end up with a 77 column comma separated import file, which the Concur Expense Integrator tool for Microsoft Dynamics GP is expecting. To do this, you will end up having a lot of blank fields for columns that are not used in the source file. Another requirement is that the file extension must end with .cgl (Company Check) or .igl (Individual Bill/Company Pay). If you are attempting to set this up, you will want to utilize the APGL File Layout (in Appendix A of the Concur Expense.pdf) which is the file definition that you will need to match with the extract definition that was created. This is the file format that the Concur Expense Integrator Tool is designed to consume.

If you are having trouble mapping the remaining segments of your accounts you need to know where these are in your source file, if you look at the setup window for mapping the segments there are 6 possibilities (Employee Info 1, Employee Info 2, Employee Info 3, Custom 1, Custom 2, and Cost Center) which translates to columns 17,18,19, 64, 65, and 22 respectively.

Receivables Management Transction Unapply Tool in the Professional Services Tools Library is now available!

If you answer yes to any of the following questions, we have a solution for you. You can now use the Receivables Management Transaction Unapply tool from the Professional Services Tools Library (PSTL) for free.

1. Do you ever have a cash receipt in Receivables Management (RM) history and you find out it is a Non-Sufficient Fund (NSF) check that needs to be voided?

2. Do you ever have a cash receipt in history with an apply record appearing when you drill back on it (Inquiry > Sales > Transaction by Customer. Highlight the payment in history and drill back on Amount Remaining) but the invoice it is applied to is in open and does not have an apply record (Inquiry > Sales > Transaction by Customer. Highlight the invoice in open and drill back on Amount Remaining)?

3. Do you ever have a cash receipt in RM history that is incorrectly applied?

Note: This tool is helpful in other situations as well.

For number 1 above, this tool will let you move the NSF check in History back to Open where you can then NSF the check in the Receivables Posted Transaction Maintenance window (Transactions > Sales > Posted Transactions).

For number 2 above, this tool will allow you to unapply the payment and move it back to open so you can then re-apply it to the invoice. Note: If the Invoice in open has an amount remaining of zero but does not have an apply record when drilling back on Amount Remaining, you can run a reconcile (Microsoft Dynamics PG > Tools > Utilities > Sales > Reconcile > Outstanding Document Amounts) on the specific customer after making a complete restorable backup and having everyone out of the system.

For number 3 above, this tool will allow you to unapply the payment and move it back to open you can then re-apply it correctly.

Workflow documents suddenly showing as 'Not Submitted' rather than 'Pending Approval' in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010

When a user submits a document into the workflow system and approval is required, the document will have a status of 'Pending Approval'. A user can view the workflow status from the window in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010. For example, in the Purchase Order Entry window below, you can see at the top of the window, the purchase order is 'Pending Approval by…'.

Have you run into the situation where Workflow for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 is working perfectly and then all of a sudden the workflow documents show as 'Not Submitted' rather than 'Pending Approval' when a user submits a document into the workflow system? In addition, no error is presented to the user upon submission. For example, in the Purchase Order Entry window below, you can see at the top of the window, the purchase order is 'Not Submitted' even though the document has been submitted for approval.

You will also begin to see several errors logged about every 20 minutes in the Dynamics Event Viewer on the machine where Web Services is installed. The Source of the error is Microsoft.Dynamics.Security.AdminService and the error details are below:

Another symptom appears in Business Portal as well. If you click to view any external list in Business Portal 5.1, you may also see the following error:

If you launch the Dynamics Security Console on the machine where Web Services is installed, you will see the following error and will not be able to see the security store.

Based on the error above, you will more than likely go to Services to see if the Microsoft Dynamics GP Service Host service is running. This is the service that runs Web Services for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010. In Services, you will see the Microsoft Dynamics GP Service Host service is still running, therefore, this may cause you to question the above error in the Dynamics Security Console.

As we were troubleshooting the above issues, we asked what had changed in the environment since everything was working fine. The answer we received in most cases was that the Microsoft SQL Server was rebooted or the Microsoft SQL Server instance had been stopped and started. This started us down the path of investigating why a restart of the Microsoft SQL Server would potentially cause an issue. In all cases the Web Services security store was held in a database in Microsoft SQL Server. There is a timer that runs every 20 minutes on the server where Web Services is installed. The purpose of the timer is to update the security store with any changes. Because the connection to the Microsoft SQL Server was disconnected, this timer cannot make the connection to the Microsoft SQL Server even though the Microsoft SQL Server instance is back up and running. This connection is running through the Windows Authorization Manager (AZMAN) pieces on the Windows operating system as well.

This issue then causes all the issues we talked above:

1. Workflow documents now indicate 'Not Submitted' rather than 'Pending Approval'.
2. The external lists in Business Portal 5.1 will not work.
3. The Web Services Dynamics Security Console will produce an error.
4. An event will be logged every 20 minutes in the Event Viewer with the exception message "The handle is invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070006 (E_HANDLE))"

The resolution for all issues listed above is to stop and start the Microsoft Dynamics GP Service Host service on the server where Web Services is installed.

Prevent Users from keying incorrect Document Dates in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010

Did you know there is a FREE tool in the Professional Services Library (PSTL) that will alert users when they key an invalid document date on a transaction? How great would that be to not have to void documents due to an invalid date keyed.

In PSTL, you will see a tool named DOC DATE VERIFY under the Misc. Tools section. With this installed, when the user keys a document date in Payables Transaction Entry, Receivables Transaction Entry, Invoice Entry, PM Manual Payment Entry, SOP Entry, IV Transaction Entry or Cash Receipts Entry, a check will be performed against the Company Fiscal Period setup to ensure the date is valid. If the document date does not exist within the valid fiscal period setup, a message will pop up for the user that reads “A fiscal period for this date has not been set up.” If a date is keyed for a closed period, the message will read “You cannot post to a date within a closed period. Do you want to continue?” So the user will be alerted with a pop up message in both instances, but may elect to continue on past the message. This will help users to catch any incorrect document dates keyed due to typing errors.

Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Analyzer: Part 2

As you saw in last week’s blog, Business Analyzer can be used to select and view SQL Server Reporting Services Reports from your desktop. To view the reports though, you must have security access to the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports in Report Manager or the Microsoft SharePoint site and you also need access in SQL Server Management Studio. SQL Server Reporting Services Reports and Business Analyzer all use the same security, so once you have the security set up for the SSRS reports, it doesn’t have to be set up again to view these reports within Business Analyzer.

There are two sides that need to be set up for security for the SSRS reports:

1) Report Access: This is setup in Report Manager (Native Mode) or within your Microsoft SharePoint reports library (SharePoint Integrated Mode).

a) Log on as an Administrator to the Report Manager site (e.g. http://servername:port/Reports) or within your SharePoint site where your reports library is that you deployed your SSRS reports to.
b) Click on the Folder Settings button or the blue Properties button (Native Mode). If you deployed the reports in SharePoint integrated mode, you will need to go to Site Settings from the home page and then click on Security.
c) Add the domain account or domain group that you want to give access to. They need to at least be given access to the Browse role (at the very minimum).
d) For SharePoint Integrated mode, you will also need to click Home to open the Home page. Next, click on the Folder Settings tab. Click New Role Assignment to open the New Role Assignment page. Enter the name of the user or group account. Then select one or more roles until the combined set of tasks describe the actions that the user should be allowed to perform.
e) These users will now be able to access this site and see the folders/reports, but they will not get any data back when they run the reports. That is where the SQL Access comes into play.

2) SQL Access: This is setup in SQL Server Management Studio and provides access to the data itself in the SSRS reports.

a) Open SQL Management Studio and connect to your Dynamics GP instance.
b) Expand Security > Logins and add the domain user/group you added in Report manager above.
c) Click on the User Mapping tab and grant this user access to the GP databases they need to report against.
d) In the bottom half of this window you'll see the database roles you can add the user to. The rpt_* roles are used for the SSRS reports. You need to map each user to at least rpt_all users in DYNAMICS and then whatever groups they need in each company database.

To view what rpt role(s) give access to what reports, you can download the MDGP10_SRReports_Roles from the following location:

Once you've done this, the same security will apply whether a user is trying to run the SQL Server Reporting Services reports from Report Manager (Native Mode) or within your SharePoint site within a Reports Library (SharePoint Integrated Mode), Business Analyzer or from within Microsoft Dynamics GP itself.

After security has been set up for the SSRS reports, you will be able to view them within Business Analyzer.

U.S. Payroll 2012 Round 4 Tax Update has released.

The U.S. Payroll 2012 Round 4 tax update has released for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 and 2010.

The state of Idaho came out with a quick change last week effective 1/1/2012, so this was turned around very quickly.

The changes in this 2012 Round 4 tax update are Idaho and also a small correction to Connecticut, this is all a table change and no code, the documentation lists out the details of the change, see attached.

This is already live on our automatic servers, it will be posted on the site.
Once the update is installed your new Last Tax Update date is 4/25/2012.

Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Analyzer: Part 1

Did you know that you have access to a tool that will interactively display Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports containing data from your Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 reports? Did you know that you can use this tool right now without any additional registration?

If this sounds like something you can get on-board with you should consider using Business Analyzer for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010. This tool is available in two flavors: one that is tied to the navigation lists inside Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 and another that is an external client that does not rely on the Microsoft Dynamics GP application.

The internal version of this application is available as soon as you've installed Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 (R2 or later) and deployed our Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports. No extra installation is necessary. In order to see these reports in action you just need to go to an area page and run one of the select navigation lists we've added this functionality onto. For example, if you go to the Sales area page and click on the Customers navigation list on the left you will see the following:

As you mark additional records in the navigation list you can refresh your reports in Business Analyzer to show data for those select customers.

To install the external version of the tool you only need to run Setup.exe on your Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 media, then choose to install Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Analyzer. The installation will ask for the location of your Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports:

You can find the URLs for your environment by looking in either Reporting Services Configuration Manager or on your SharePoint site, depending on which deployment method you chose for he reports.

The first time you launch Business Analyzer after the install completes you'll be directed to the configuration window, where you can specify options ranging from what role you associate yourself with to how often the reports should transition through the slideshow to how large the report images display.

If you click on the Report Selection tab on the left you can choose the default reports that are assigned to the role you've assigned yourself or choose your own set of reports:

You can then click OK to see the reports you've selected in a slideshow format.

You can use the icons in the upper-right to switch the view: Full Screen Mode or Dashboard/Split Mode. Split mode is shown above while Dashboard mode is below:

As you hover your mouse over each report you'll see a set of seven options you can use to act upon these reports. In order there buttons are:

• Report Information: Provides information on the name of the report and when it was rendered
• View Report: Opens a browser window and opens the report
• Edit Report: Opens the report in Report Builder
• Copy Report Image: Copies an image of the report to the clipboard so you can paste it anywhere
• Change Date: Some reports return date-specific information. This allows you to change the date filter for the report
• Start Communication: If you're using Office Communicator 2007 or later you can associate one of your contacts with a report. You can start a conversation with one of those contacts using this button
• Select Company: Some reports include multi-company data. Use this button to specify which companies are displayed on the report

SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010

With the Release of Microsoft SQL Server 2012, there are new considerations to be made when deploying SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 to use with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010.

Here are a couple of the main ones.

Native Mode Deployment

1. If you’re going to deploy the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 reports to a Native mode site in SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 you need to select the “Reporting Services - Native” feature when installing Microsoft SQL Server 2012

2. You then use the Reporting Services Configuration Manager to setup your Native mode instance, just as you would have in SQL Server 2008

SharePoint Integrated Deployment

If you’re going to deploy the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 reports to a SharePoint Integrated instance of SQL Server Reporting Services you need to select the “Reporting Services – SharePoint” and “Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint Products” features when installing Microsoft SQL Server 2012

2. You do not use the Reporting Services Configuration Manager to setup your SharePoint Integrated instance. You perform all of the setup in SharePoint using the following steps:

Install the Reporting Services SharePoint service using the SharePoint 2010 Management Shell
Start the Reporting Services SharePoint service in SharePoint 2010 Central Administration
Create a Reporting Services service application in SharePoint 2010 Central Administration
Configure the Reporting Services Integration in SharePoint 2010 Central Administration
Activate the Claims to Windows Token Service in SharePoint 2010 Central Administration
Create a Reports site in SharePoint

Optional if you already have a site for the reports to reside on

Create a Reports Library document library on your SharePoint site
You can then proceed to deploy the reports from Dynamics GP 2010

General Changes:

1. The SQL Server 2012 installer will now create a service account called “NT Service\ReportServer$Instancename” to run the service.

2. We have updated the "SQL Server Reporting Services Guide" for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 to include all of the new information for SQL Server Reporting Services 2012. You can find the manual at the following URL.

Word Templates not printing to the screen on a Citrix Environment

We have had a few instances where Dynamics GP Word Templates will not print out to the screen when running on a citrix environment.

I’m happy to say that I think we have figured out what is causing this specific issue.

Symptoms:

The symptoms are that you have set up Dynamics GP Word Templates, but when logged into a citrix
environment, when you attempt to print the template to the screen, it appears nothing happens. Word does not
open. In this scenario, the templates will not print to the printer either.

Troubleshoot:

The first thing that you want to do is make sure to troubleshoot the problem in GP so you make sure that you have everything set up
correctly. You would want to check security so you know what report writer report is printing (modified, modified
alternate, etc.), make sure you have a template set up for that report. Make sure the template is assigned to the
company you are in and is set as default. In this scenario, remove any customer/vendor assignments on the
templates. When the templates are assigned to customers/vendors, it complicates the scenario because there can be
multiple word templates being used and you want to eliminate that for baseline testing. You can add the customer/vendor
assignments back after you have the templates working. Once you have verified these things, the
template should print.

In this scenario, the TPElogging helps because if you have logging turned on, you should be able to
see that the word doc is being created, but it’s just not opening in word. That would prove that the word doc is being
created correctly.

Code:

I don’t want to get too technical here but I do want to shed some light on what GP is doing to get the word template to print out to the
screen. This process is handled by the Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.BusinessIntelligence.TemplateProcessing.dll
in your addins folder under GP. This dll handles most of the template processing.
When it gets to sending the word document to the screen, the dll is using the Process.Start(ProcessStartInfo) method in the
System.Diagnostics namespace. In this call, we are passing an “Open” verb in ProcessStartInfo. What this will do then is open whatever
document we are passing in its associated program. In our case, it is a docx file which should be associated with Word. However, this
works for any application. So if you called this same method with a pdf file, it should open the pdf in Adobe or
whatever is associated to a pdf file. So it’s a universal way to open a document.

Cause:

Upon extensive investigation, what we found is that in some Citrix environments, Citrix has a Windows Shell Extension that is intercepting
these calls to Process.Start() with the “Open” or “Print” verb and it’s preventing the application from opening.
In the two cases that we had this issue, the problem wasn’t specifically with Word, no application would open when called this way. We tested pdf’s and txt’s and those didn’t work either. In this case, the Citrix Shell Extension was CtxSFOShellExt.dll and it was located in the following
directory:

C:\Program Files\Citrix\Server Resource Management\Memory
Optimization Management\Program\CtxSFOShellExt.dll

It has something to do with Memory Optimization with
Citrix. If you right click on a file, there was an additional option for Citrix Memory Optimization. When we chose that option, it would not let
us open the document because it wasn’t optimized. I believe this Shell Extension has a handler
that is catching the “Open” and “Print” verbs and checking if the document is optimized. If it isn’t, it doesn’t let
them open. A Citrix engineer may have more information on this particular Shell Extension.

Resolution

I’m not recommending anything specific here other than contacting your Citrix engineer on how to
disable this Shell Extension. However, there is a program available from Nirsoft that allows you to view and disable
Shell Extentsions that may able to help you. You would be doing that at your own risk because by disabling this, you
could cause other issues with Citrix. The best bet is to talk to Citrix about it. We did find however that disabling this Shell
Extension did allow Word Templates to work on the Citrix Environment.

You may receive an error in Business Portal Server Error in Application Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object

You may receive the following error in Business Portal if you are on .Net version 4.0 in varying places if you have met maximum limits.

Server Error in '/' Application
Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object
Stack Trace:
System.web.httpvalueCollection.throwifMaxHttpCollectionKeysExceeded

In December 2011, Microsoft released a security update for ASP.NET. In the update, Microsoft introduced a limit to the number of data elements on an ASP.NET form. The default limit is 1000 data elements. Exceeding the limit will cause a throwifMaxHttpCollectionKeysExceeded type error message.

After applying the patch, forms that exceed the limit will generate an error similar to what I have above.

To fix the issue in Business Portal, we need to make a change to the web.config file in the appSettings section.
Here are the steps:
1. Go to your web.config file on the Business Portal server.
Example location of mine
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\81
Make a copy of the file prior to editing.

2. Open the file in in notepad
Go to the bottom where you find this
<appSettings>

Add this below line in the web.config like I did to mine….I used 2000, use what you want so you will not exceed the limit in your environment.
<add key="aspnet:MaxHttpCollectionKeys" value="2000" />
Save and close the web.config file.

3. Click Start | Run type iisreset

Log back into Business Portal and you should not see the error message.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 mainstream support ending on October 9th, 2012

As many of you have already heard, Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 mainstream support will be discontinuing on October 9th, 2012. Extended support will be ending on October 10th, 2017.

Here is a chart that outlines the differences between Mainstream Support and Extended Support.

Extended support for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 is included in the customers and partners standard support plans. Because of the fact that Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 will not be available when
Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 support moves to extended support, we will be releasing a 2012 Year-End Update to all US and Canadian Payroll customers. We will also have a Round 1 U.S. tax tables for
2013 Payroll reporting. There will be no other releases after that for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0.

Here is the note from the GP 10.0 Tax Update page as well as the links to the page.

NOTE: Microsoft will provide a 2012 Year-End Update to all U.S and Canadian Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Customers. Microsoft will also provide Round 1 U.S. tax tables for the 2013 Payroll reporting year.
Following these releases, no additional code update will be released for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, due to end of Mainstream Support in the Support Lifecycle for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0. Technical
support for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 will continue to be provided through the Extended Support phase which will end on 10/10/2017. If you are currently using Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, you must upgrade
to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 or Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 to receive any further regulatory and or code updates following the January 2013 Round 1 Tax Update.

The payroll 941 form for 2012 has released!

We have released the Payroll 941 form changes for 2012. There are no calculation changes, only form layout changes.
If you do not print our actual form and line it up with a form in the printer, you should be fine by not installing this update.
It will be up to you if you want to install it based on your environment.

Below are the details of the changes, this will be a CODE update/msp install that needs to go on each machine if you choose to install this update.
Lines 6a, 6b, 6c: These were “Reserved for future use.” These have now been removed
Line 6e: Total taxes before adjustments – is now renumbered to 6.
Lines 6-10: need to be moved up
Lines 10 & 11: there needs to be a space between them
Lines 12a – 15: need to be moved up
Line 17 has been renumbered to 16
Line 17: all checkboxes and Tax liability month boxes need to move up

There is no manual as no tax changes were reported, just a new 941 form.
Unfortunately, the “form” is in the code so we could not export this out as a packaged report for you to install.
If you still print the actual form on a pre-printed form and need these alignment changes, then you need to install the update.

Version 2010 after the install 11.0.1935
