I have been with Microsoft since 2002, but I have been with Dynamics even longer, starting out with a Dynamics NAV partner in 1992. I currently lead the Partner Programs team in the US Dynamics organization and look forward to keeping in touch with the US Dynamics Partner Community on this blog.
As you drive marketing and sales efforts throughout the new Microsoft fiscal year, you may be challenged by your prospects on price. As a Microsoft partner, you know it is important to not lead with pricing during the sales process, but sometimes you need an extra arrow in your quiver to help secure the sale. To aid you, we've developed some new offers from both prospects and existing customers.
The FY11 Q1 Microsoft Dynamics Offer Summary Sheet is now available on PartnerSource. This summary sheet contains all of the key Microsoft Dynamics offers currently in market.

Next week, I'll feature some of the promotions in detail on the blog. Also, we welcome your feedback on the promotions!
In case you missed the update from last week (Wednesday, August 25) on the Microsoft News Center, Microsoft annnounced that Microsoft Dynamics AX earned recognition from Forrester Research Inc., a leading independent research firm, as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Order Management Hubs, Q3 2010 (August 2010).
To participate, vendors had to meet specific requirements, including an ability to provide support for market-leading industries, to demonstrate a broad business process footprint and to target organizations with 500 or more employees. These vendors were then evaluated against 112 criteria based on current offering, strategy, and market presence. According to Forrester, Microsoft Dynamics AX was one of the vendors that earned a Leader designation because of "strong support for end-to-end management processes and forward-looking product strategies."
The Forrester Wave: Order Management Hubs, Q3 2010 (August 2010) report is available here. We will also include the report within the Microsoft Dynamics Analyst Evidence Kit on PartnerSource.

You know you've been blogging for a while when you think you are experiencing déjà vu. You know you've been blogging for a while when you think you are experiencing déjà vu. All silliness aside, it was exactly one year ago today that I wrote about the launch of the inaugural Microsoft Dynamics ISV Playbook. Now, I'm exciting to announce the availability of version 2.0! You can still find it in the same location on PartnerSource with a bunch of fresh content for 2010. Check out the original post to read about the highlights of the guide.
A few years back I used to manage programs at Microsoft to help Microsoft Dynamics partners recruit, hire and train new talent. We had a good run at the programs, and then, unfortunately, the economy soured. Many partners simply stopped hiring, and a lot of you went through the challenge of letting people go. Now that the economy has somewhat picked up, I've heard of some partners driving great recruitment plans targeting both experienced hires and college hires. For those of you that struggle in the hiring and selection process we put together some training to target marketing professionals.
When marketing fails to deliver the results partners need to grow their business, it’s very often because of difficulties in finding, hiring, and motivating the right marketing professionals. Adequate budgets and direction is also critical. Find out how to put all of these pieces together in this informative, hands-on web seminar series for business owners that sell Microsoft Dynamics solutions.
Presented by Salesworks, these sessions will give you a clear picture of what’s working as well as what isn’t in the real-life world of today’s Microsoft Dynamics partner, and the tools you need to build an efficient and cost-effective marketing machine.
