    Microsoft Dynamics Community 2.0 Now Available!

    I'd like to echo Andy Leapaldt's blog from last week - Welcome to Microsoft Dynamics 2.0! - and state I'm super excited to see the launch of the new Microsoft Dynamics Community website! The Community gives customers, partners, and Microsoft team members the ability to network and share best practices through forums, discussions, videos and blogs.

    Please take a couple minutes to review Andy's post to understand all of the great features within this newly refreshed website!

    Additionally, with the Dynamics 2.0 Community launch, we've added a private Partner Community area for partners to network and collaborate through a series of "partner only" Ask the Community discussion forums. Topics include:

    • Microsoft Partner Network
    • Partner Growth & Profitability
    • Partner Training & Certification
    • Partner Marketing Programs & Resources
    • Partner Sales Execution
    • Partner Industry & Vertical

    Joining the Community is quick and easy! Simply log into PartnerSource using your normal Windows Live ID (WLID) authentication credentials. Then within your browser, open a new tab and navigate to the Community website, and click "Join Now!" from the upper right-hand corner. You should select that you already have a WLID, and your PartnerSource profile should carry over into Community. Next, you'll be asked to verify your account and complete a couple more profiling steps. Finally, navigate back to the Community homepage, click on Partner Community, and you now have access to submit discussions into the private partner forums.

    Throughout the rest of FY11, we'll also be expanding the number of bloggers within the Partner Community to supply the latest insights and trends specific to Microsoft Dynamics partners. By participating in the Dynamics Community, we hope it enables you to further grow your business, connect with other partners, and uncover great opportunities!

    Microsoft Announces Forthcoming Availability of Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011

    Yesterday, we officially announced the targeted launch for the next release of Microsoft Dynamics SL. Partners, existing customer and prospects can learn more about the new solution by visiting the Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011 launch portal. You can also review the full press release on Microsoft News Center (preview below).

    REDMOND, Wash. — Oct. 5, 2010 — Microsoft Corp. today announced that Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011, its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution designed for midsize project-driven organizations, will be generally available in the second quarter of 2011 in English in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Puerto Rico. Availability of a Spanish version for Latin America will be announced later.

    The new solution, which is particularly well-suited for the construction, professional services, government contracting, architecture and engineering fields, features a broad range of new enhancements and innovation to support increased productivity, business value and insight across an organization, helping it become a more dynamic business.

    Two Ways to Win Partner Incentive

    There are many pieces to this new partner incentive program, so I wanted to provide the core messaging below, but please make sure you take the time to review the full details, inclusions, exclusions, additional notes, and ordering procedures on PartnerSource.

    Microsoft is excited to announce "TWO WAYS TO WIN" - a Microsoft Dynamics (U.S.) incentive promotion to Solution Provider Agreement (SPA) partners who increase the number of customers added to their portfolios year over year for the period of the promotion, August 30, 2010 through close of business PST December 23, 2010, by building repeatable sales motions to scale their business models.

    There are three components of the promotion, which are described more fully below:

    • Exceed your OVERALL customer adds in the FY11 Promotion Period versus the FY10 Baseline Period (August 31, 2009 to December 23, 2009) and you will receive an escalating bonus discount based on the number of incremental customer adds .
    • Exceed your INDUSTRY SPECIFIC customer adds in the FY11 Promotion Period versus the FY10 Baseline Period (August 31, 2009 to December 23, 2009) and you will receive an escalating bonus discount based on the number of incremental customer adds.
    • Although customer adds for the entire Promotion Period will count towards the overall bonus discounts, promotional discounts will only be accessible for and applied to transactions closed in Q2 of FY11 after you have successfully enrolled for the Two Ways to Win incentive. You may enroll at any time.

    The industries identified by Microsoft Dynamics are: Distribution, Manufacturing, Professional Services, Public Sector and Retail.

    Through the support of Microsoft Dynamics ISV’s Key Solutions, listed on incentive program web site, reselling VARs certified to sell Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics GP or Microsoft Dynamics SL may earn increased partner discounts on new customer license purchases when sale is accompanied by a solution from a Key Solution provider.
