Absalon International was one of the first partners to make use of the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace, where it offers its life sciences, consumer goods, and professional services add-ons for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The marketplace is helping Absalon target customers in the small-business segment and in new countries, and has already led to new revenue. Sebastian Merlöv, CEO of Absalon International, says, “By getting involved early, we were able to get ahead of the curve. The Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace also provided us with a way to target new customer segments that we didn’t have the resources to target before, including global companies and small businesses.”

Absalon first underwent a brief process to obtain Certified for Microsoft Dynamics status for its solutions. Once it certified its add-ons, the company worked to optimize its presence in the new channel to help drive visibility, hits, and conversion rates. Absalon employed other general search engine optimization (SEO) and web tactics to optimize its marketplace listings. Absalon ensured that potential customers had all the information they needed, including access to training materials, quick-start implementation guides, and online training and workshops for its solutions. “The Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace has helped our company target small-business customers and geographies that we simply lacked resources to target before,” says Merlöv. “And it has enabled us to do so quite cost-effectively.”
