Welcome to Microsoft Dynamics ERP License Offer

When I first began my career at Great Plains Software almost 12 years ago (April 1998), I worked on the Great Plains Accounting (GPA) product support team. I think GPA 9.1 for Windows had recently launched. Typically, our sales team would ask for everyone from marketing, support, development, etc. to assist with the call blitz to existing customers in which we would explain the benefits of upgrading to GPA 9.1.

That being said, when we launched our new "Welcome to Microsoft Dynamics ERP License" offer, it brought back memories of working on the GPA team and participating in these call campaigns. Details of the offer below...

Microsoft is excited to announce the "WELCOME TO MICROSOFT DYNAMICS ERP" offer- a Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and Microsoft Dynamics SL US-based promotion for existing customers of Microsoft Small Business Financials, Great Plains Accounting (GPA) and Real World. The promotion is comprised of up to a 75% discount on all user licenses and limited A La Carte functionality for up to 10 users in the first acquisition of Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and Microsoft Dynamics SL.

The offer is effective January 4, 2010, and available until the end of the business day (11:59pm CST), Friday, June 25th, 2010.

Employers Expect Uptick in Hiring in the New Year, CareerBuilder's 2010 Job Forecast Finds

Employers highlight trends to preserve the health and growth of their businesses

CHICAGO, December 29, 2009 - The encouraging news regarding the economy may be easing hiring fears, as employers signal an increase in their plans to hire in the new year, according to CareerBuilder’s 2010 Job Forecast. While employers continue to closely monitor the progress of recovery for the U.S. economy, they are beginning to consider hiring strategies designed to preserve the health and growth of their businesses for the future. CareerBuilder surveyed more than 2,700 hiring managers and human resource professionals nationwide across industries.

"There have been many signs over the past few months that point to the healing of the U.S. economy, especially the continued decrease in the number of jobs lost per month, a trend that will hopefully carry over into the new year," said Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder. "Although 20 percent of employers plan to add headcount in 2010, up from 14 percent last year, they still remain cautious in regards to their hiring. We're headed in the right direction but should not expect to see actual job growth until at least Q2 2010."

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online - Sign Up Customers for Subscription

A new document describing how a Microsoft partner can sign up for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Subscription on Behalf of a Customer has been posted to PartnerSource.  By following this process, partners can ensure they are designated as the Partner of Record prior to transferring ownership of the Online Subscription to a customer.  This document is currently relevant to partners working with US and Canada customers as the CRM Online service is currently only available in these two countries.

How a Partner Can Sign Up for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Subscription on Behalf of a Customer

As a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online partner, you can help your customer sign up for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online subscription.  You can customize and set up their organization for them, and reduce their effort to get started.  After signing up, you can designate your company as the customer’s Partner of Record (POR). As the POR, you and your customer can take full advantage of your partnership with Microsoft.

This document describes in detail the three tasks your partner company must complete to sign up with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online on behalf of your customer.

Looking Back at 2009 and Forward to 2010

After today, I’ll be on holiday vacation for the remainder of 2009 and hope to swing back into blogging mode the first week of January 2010. In today’s post, I wanted to highlight ten key initiatives, announcements and/or programs. Five of them will be from the past 12 months, while the others will focus on what to watch for in 2010.

    2009

    • In January, we launched the Microsoft Dynamics Partner Community team. You can connect with us through our website, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Radio Show.
    • Throughout the year, we’ve achieved some great customer wins! Listen to some of them here:
    • Between March through August, new and improved versions of the Microsoft Dynamics Partner Playbooks were published. The ERP/CRM Partner and ISV Playbooks provide partners single source guides with information and links to the most current tools and resources available for Microsoft Dynamics.
    • At Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference we announced enhancements to the Microsoft Dynamics partner channel program, a critical step in more fully capturing the existing market opportunity for integrated ERP and CRM solutions.
    • In November, we kicked off a new Microsoft Dynamics Advertising campaign designed to build awareness with prospective customers in the Manufacturing, Retail, Professional Services, Government and Financial Services industries about how Microsoft Dynamics ERP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM solutions fit their business and drive efficiencies.

    2010

    • Microsoft Dynamics GP 11 is expected to launch in the early part of the year. Register for an upcoming web seminar taking place on January 13 to learn more.
    • Save the date and join us for Convergence 2010 Atlanta April 24-27. Registration begins on January 6.
    • Microsoft Dynamics US Partner Training offers several classes throughout the Winter – Spring 2010 training schedule. We are committed to holding courses with 6 or more individuals enrolled. Additionally, Gold partners receive 25% off and Certified partner receive 15% off on the Partner Academy courses that have a certification tied to it.
    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM "V.Next" is targeted for release in 2010. We expect to update the Statement of Direction for Microsoft Dynamics CRM document with further details periodically.
    • In the springtime we hope to merge our Microsoft Dynamics Partner Community with the overall Microsoft Dynamics Community to provide partners, customers and prospects with an integrated hub for networking and community generated information.

Well, that’s a wrap. Have a safe and happy holiday season, and we’ll catch up again in 2010!!!
