The new Microsoft Technical Communities Program is targeting Community Leaders with the goalto foster the career growth and job skills of their members.
Community leaders can connect with their peers easily toshare best practices, content and opportunities through the MSTC Wiki and Forumenvironment. With the launch of this new program it is now very easy to findand connect with the ideal speakers for events run by community leaders.
The program also entails a variety of offers and promotionsthat make it easier for the community members to get up to speed on the latestMicrosoft technologies. Members of the new MSTC will have the option to choosefrom extended trial versions, skills-based training, special discounts, andmore.
Also, the UGSS Event funding limit allocation of $1000 nolonger applies. Funds can be requested for events on predefined topics focusingon Microsoft technologies. At launch Community leaders can request funding forthe following topics (and new ones will be added constantly over the course ofthe year):
Another great help to guarantee a successful Community eventis the content Microsoft makes available via MSTC in the form of TechTrax andDevTrax sessions. These are train-the-trainer sessions where Microsoft’s toptechnical experts detail the best ways to deliver content for topics focusingon Microsoft technologies like Windows Server, Windows Azure, Windows 8 andothers. This content library will be extended over time.
