New kids on the block showcases 3 enterprising young Brisbane startups. Each speaker will talk for about 10 minutes on how they started their business and the lessons they have learnt along the way. Come and receive some unique insights into the trends and technologies that drive and motivate our up and coming younger generations.

 Taylah Hasaballah

Founder of Tiger Temple

Taylah is a “Generation Z” entrepreneur and the founder of a successful and growing online business called Tiger Temple. In her short career Taylah has already been recognised by Anthill as one of Australia’s top entrepreneurs in the ‘30 under 30’ category and has been recognised by iLab as one of their outstanding start-ups from their “Germinate Program”.


Paul Stovell

Founder of Octopus Deploy

Paul started Octopus Deploy, an automated deployment tool for .NET applications.   In 2012 Paul was able to quit his day job and really start to build the product with the release of Octopus Deploy 1.0.  Prior to Octopus Deploy, he worked for an investment bank in London building WPF applications, and prior to that he worked for Readify, an Australian .NET consulting firm, And he is still under 30!


Martin Smee and Lawrence Fox

Founders of Co-OpRating

Co-OpRating is a global collaboration and trade platform, built for businesses and users to pursue and create opportunities both creative and commercial.  Founded by Martin Smee and Daniel Dekel, Co-OpRating recently released its closed Beta program.  They are listed as on the Brisbane Startups the Unofficial list.


The meeting is open to all existing and prospective members of IT Queensland, and their guests.

We look forward to providing a forum where we can all learn from our panel, and one another, and enjoy the fellowship and networking over a few drinks and nibbles.
