Well, hmmm.
In case anyone missed the news last week, Microsoft had its first-ever big layoff. Unfortunately, I was caught in the landslide and my position was eliminated. I’m starting the job search process right now and I have no idea if I’ll end up somewhere else inside of Microsoft or at another company.
In the event that I don’t land another Microsoft position, I’ll eventually lose access to this blog on the MSDN site. I’m currently looking for another good place to host my blog – please leave suggestions in the comments if you have any!
I’m also interested in any job leads in the Seattle area, of course. I’ll post a link to my resume as soon as I get it written. I can be contacted directly via my personal email address, which is (in anti-spam obfuscated form) at Hotmail.com, user name “saintgimp”.
In the meantime, I have a whole stack of topics that I wanted to blog about so I’m going to continue to work through them, primarily to capture my thinking for my own future benefit, and also to continue building a portfolio that will be of use during my job search. That’s one benefit of starting a blog that I didn’t foresee, but I’m hoping it’ll come in handy now. I’ll keep posting here for as long as I can, and will cross-post to my new blog site when I settle on one.
