see, that's what people like bobturbo don't get.  it ain't about the money!  and yet people keep migrating to linux.  hmm . . .

No its about motivation and feeling worthwhile. Thats what you get from money.

It's not about money, it's about having something that is always demanding more of you.  Of course, windows is easy to install, easy to use and functions... well enough i guess.  Some distros of linux are just as easy(ubuntu) where yo select the program you want from a list and you're done and the install is totally automated.  I like using something that challenges me(gentoo) where you have to give a little more and learn a lot in the process.  I know much more about computers and their ins and outs because i'm not afraid to give a little effort.  Nobody who programs for linux wants money for it, otherwise they wouldn't do it! The beauty of Linux is in a world where everyone seems to hate eachother, some people who are computer savvy are willing to make something with their time to help others, and then do support for it.  Go Linux!
