To those of you experiencing issues opening the file, you need to right click on it, click properties, then at the bottom on the general tab, there is a button that says "Unblock". Enjoy :)

Gangadhar,

You need to copy the new user control files to the C: Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\ep” folder once you add it to AOT.

when iam creating a user control in visual studio and adding it to aot,the user control is not getting added to "C: Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\ep” folder "location but getting added under web control node and managed node.

what may be the problem

On Page 10, the path should be

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\ep
