I was visiting Spain last week and found myself remembering a conversation with my co-worker Shane. We were talking about good and bad design and he gave me a story about a time he spent a moment trying to figure out how to operate the water tap in a restroom.
Luckily I remembered this conversation that day. I was standing for a few moments with my hands under the tap and nothing happening. Took me a moment to figure out there was a small foot operated button on the floor that would get the water flowing.
I wonder if they test this stuff real well. In one respect I appreciate the ability to wash with out touching handles and all, but I am now so trained for the sensor that I tend to wait around or wave my hands under the faucet if I don't get water immediately. I'm sure I looked a little silly, but that I am used to by now.
