I seem to be developing a pattern here with Microsoft.. most of the memorable moments occur after sunset..

1. We finalized and then redesigned and then re-finalized our strategy during a marathon all-nighter that we pulled off for the Microsoft case competition. An achievement for me since I never spent that amount of time for anything at Tuck..yet. It was a very tiring but an extremely enjoyable session where I think we did the work that really differentiated us from the rest of the teams at Tuck.

2. We got to Redmond for the case presentations. We were there for 3 days and never saw anything except the Redmond buildings and the hotel rooms..On the final day, we were scheduled to fly back to Boston at night, and hadnt seen anything in Seattle!! We made a mad dash in the evening from the Redmond office to downtown Seattle and had an amazing dinner at Sky City, the restaurant atop the Space Needle. What an amazing view..something which I wont forget anytime soon..

3. Guess what happened on a recent business trip to Mexico city. Agreed that it was a short 2 day visit, but I couldnt return without seeing anything except the office and the hotel. A late night excursion to the Zocalo fixed that. What a beautiful space. Open, wide and full of history. Totally worth the visit.

I think its a pattern I can live with.. routine does become memorable at night!!
