View it in Paint.  If you view it in your browser, it may be scaled so that the logical DPI is 96dpi but the physical DPI can be something else.  My screen is 134dpi which is set in the Display control panel, and I have the UseHR registry setting set for Internet Explorer which makes the logical DPI 96dpi so that DPI-unaware sites appear properly. If you have an LCD display, try changing the resolution of the display and looking at the image.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Charles: As I mentioned in the post, hopefully as new EDID data becomes available to applications we cause use data from the display--to date the data has been quite poor. To make things even more interesting, if you have a laptop display, and you change the viewing angle of the display, the gamma response changes.
