Keynote, Mappoint Web Service Launch, Press, Beanies, Shark Men, Blimp, Geek Dinner - TechEd Australia Day 1

Day 1 of TechEd Australia is drawing to a close. Time to reflect on the events and activities of the day

My highlights (in kinda chronological order, and the links are photos taken to celebrate the moment)

• Keynote by Dr Joe McInnes
• Launch of Mappoint Web Service during Steve Lombardi session
• Seeing people wearing the VSIP beanies which they got from visiting the VSIP Pavilion
• Having a song sung to me by the Shark Men
• Seeing the VSTO blimp flying around the entrance of the convention centre
• Seeing the Shark Men hold up the VSTO Blimp and sing a song
• Hanging out in the MSDN Connection Lounge watching the folks chatting & playing Xbox
• Hanging out with all the gang at the Geek Dinner (or rather the Geek Guiness tasting)

I'm also getting a kick out of reading attendees & speakers blogs - such as Paul, Nick, Scott, Bernard & Mick. BTW - I got a great photo of Mick wearing the beanie too
