An old friend from Canberra dropped me an email recently about a good book on the TabletPC
Mail from: frankarr - an aussie microsoft bloggerSender: Ray Roche After the ususal deluge of books on PCs and the software on them, finally someone has produced a book on how to use a Tablet PC to advantage. Have a look at www.seizetheworkday.com. The author, Michael Linenberger, is a project manager by trade and has produced an excellent book on getting real benefit out of a Tablet PC. The book is available via Amazon but I have not seen it in the Australian bookshops yet. Strongly recomended.
Thanks for the recommendation Ray, I'll good check it out

Matt Trentini recently sent me an email about being an evangelist. Well, Matt is a blogger and he has a great write up (with photos) from the Melbourne Security Summit. He has even posted mugshots of all the attendees (including the barmaid) of the Melbourne Geek Dinner which followed the summit.
I've added Matt to the Aussie .NET Blogger list.
Matt, welcome to our expanding community.

Ok, I said I would post an update regarding the open Developer Evangelist position in Melbourne when we found the right person.
Well, we found the right person.
Dave Lemphers is joining my team, taking the role vacated by Jason McConnell.
You may have seen Dave present during the Security Summit. For you the folks in Brisbane and Perth you still have a chance to see him do his stuff.

I got a note today from the folks that look after Hosting Service Providers in Australia. They have a roadshow going around the country in March, which looks interesting, especially hearing about DotNetNuke. Who knows. you may get to meet a member of the core team!

I got a note from Leon O'Brien today following a comment I posted to his rant about the lack of goodies for attendees outside North America of particular Microsoft webcast. I agree with Leon on this issue and we will do something about it.
Leon also reminded me to add him to the Aussie .NET Blogger list.
Done!
The new MSDN Flash is about to be delivered, so here is the sneak peak from the pirate archive.
I just finished an interview with Josh Gliddon from The Bulletin.
I spoke to Josh a few weeks ago when he was doing the now infamous article on podcasting featuring Splatt with a radio mike.
The interview was all about business blogging, Microsoft's attitude to blogging, and the pitfalls.
Josh will be interviewing Lenn Pryor too (he's Scoble's boss). So, does this make me Australia's Scoble? No, I',m just Microsoft Australia's Frank Arrigo!
Hopefully the article should be out soon.
