For the past few years, we have run a Student Day during Tech.Ed. We've held this on the day before Tech.Ed opens, and it has been a well attended gig.
This year, our intern Berno has been working hard to make it a great event.
A draft of the agenda has been published, and I'm on the card.
This year I will be covering Office 2007 and it's relevance to students.
I'm going to have a helper, a young student by the name of Long Zheng.
Remember him? He was the young man who created a bunch of screencast featuring Windows Vista and Office 2007 and he got world wide attention.
Anyways, it's happening August 22nd, more info here and registration here. Should be fun.

Data time.
Last week I went through the top 10 names and the distribution of boys and girls.
Today, let's look where the attendees are coming from
No big surprises really - 85% of the attendees from the eastern states.
Good to see some folks from Tassie.
Disappointing turnout from Victoria. Hey folks, it's warm here in Sydney.

Paul Stovell sent me a teaser on the weekend, a screen shot of an app he was working on
Today he published it - the Tech.ED Session Picker
The app uses the Tech.Ed RSS feed we published and presents the information using the power of Windows Presentation Foundation.
Paul, love your work!

I’m working on a Tech.Ed activity we’re calling the Tech.Ed Blogger Brunch.
Essentially, we will invite a bunch of local bloggers (bloggers means anyone who has a blog and i’m not going to discriminate like last time) to a session we’re running as part of Tech.Ed, featuring a bunch of the assembled speakers.
I’m trying to decide on a topic, and I’ve got 4 possibilities
So which of these are of interest? Option 4 is free form, so any suggestion is welcome.
Wow, it's been a month since I looked at the TechTalkBlog stats. It's been alive for 157 days.
I know everyone wants to know the stats. I wasn't going to post this, but so many people wanted to know, I've decided to re-instated the system summary, using June 30 as the start. This makes the table more manageable ;)
That's a lot of feeds!
Former MS Intern, and TechEd Speaker, Paul Woods did some analyis of the TechTalkBlogsOPML and matched them up with Technorati. He came up with an interesting list. Wouldn't it be cool if there were a place you could submit an OPML and get back a bunch of interesting stats about each of the blogs. I think it was be really cool.
For the past month, over on the Group Blog we've had the Tech.Ed Trio - Geoff, Paul and Damian - as our guest bloggers and they have been blogging up a storm! The new sections such as Behind the Scenes, Bloggerviews, Friday Opinions, Mudhounding and Retrospective have been terrific. Keep up the good work fellas!
