Elaine brought this to my attention today.
It's a little sidebar gadget which polls the usage from OptusNet (which happens to be my broadband provider) and it provides bandwidth usage.
Simple!
And it's posted onto http://gallery.live.com and it's been tagged Australia too, which now takes the total to 3.
Nice Work Alex.

LOL @ 15gb quota
=P
david - be nice!
we dont all live on broadband island
just for the record - i have a 20gb plan (which includes 40gb offpeak)
Here in Australia, I found that you can either have fast and small quota, or slow and big quota.
I ended up going with "slow" 1.5Mbps ADSL 1, but with unlimited quota - record is just over 300Gb in one month I did as a test.
300gb in a month?! who with?
Just a quick note to say I have updated the OptusNet gadget to include a heap of new functions including:
* flyout containing more data
* dynamic backgrounds based on your quota usage
* better error handling
The new version is available on gallery.live.com
Nice to see more Sidebar gadgets appearing. My latest discovery is the MOSSIG Updater Vista Sidebar Gadget
