I saw the post by Brandon LeBlanc - Download Microsoft Silverlight DreamScenes for your desktop!, and I did as I was told. I downloaded the Microsoft Silverlight DreamScene.
I must admit, it looks really nice on my widescreen laptop.
I can't wait for all the other Silverlight announcements tomorrow - they are going to rock the world.

During my travels, I caught up with Brenton Webster (dude, no blog?), who put me onto Subsonic.
About Subsonic SubSonic is a toolset that helps a website build itself. At it's core it's: A Data Access Layer (DAL) builder that requires no code on your part, it builds itself at compile-time with a full object layer and strongly-typed collections A complete utility toolset, complete with Rails-like scaffolding, migrations (DB Versioning), and code generators A dynamic query tool, that lets you use SQL Server and the Enterprise Library without having to know SQL An OR Mapper that extends to views and stored procedures so you're not locked into the OR/M thing What SubSonic does for you: Trim hours from your DEV cycle. This not only happens because the code is generated for you initially, but it's also maintained by SubSonic whenever you change your database. Gives you the option to go full-tilt OR/M, or use SPs/Views. We don't want to tell you what to do, you already know best. We just want to help. Help your application build itself. With our generators (class, scaffold, and batch-class) your site can build itself in no time. The scaffolding will help you work with your data quickly. A solid foundation from which to extend. Our starter site comes pre-wired with ASP.NET membership built in, AJAX, full 3-column elastic XHTML theme, and user administration pages from which you can administer your site's membership. That's at least a week's worth of work - already done! Get your project from idea to prototype in a fraction of the time. That's the strength of this project - using our starter kit you can have a sharp prototype up and running in the merest fraction of what it used to take.

I've had my Palm for a few months now and I *still* love my Palm Treo 750 !
It's travelled to the US twice and it worked happily while I was over there (once I worked out what settings to change!!).
In the past, I have loaded up a bunch of apps on my phones - Tweaking the Apps on my K-JAM , but I was looking at the apps installed and I haven't really added many at all.
I had added:
Everything else I use is accessed via IE - Mobile Sites I Use All The Time
Could this be why the phone has been rock solid??
CeBIT opens next week in Sydney -I know because I had about a dozen phone calls and countless emails from different companies during the week inviting me to different events or conferences they are running in conjunction.
One invite however intrigued me, regarding the CeBIT Blogger Zone. It came from my good buddy Hugo "Tablet MVP" Ortega.

I've registered and look forward to seeing what comes from this.
In my last post, I forgot to link to our Unified Communications Tsar, Oscar 'The Godfather' Trimboli.
Oscar is *THE MAN* when it comes to the whole Unified Communications DownUnder, and he has been blogging like crazy over the past few months - which is really good to see.
Way to go Oscar!!
Please forgive me for not linking to you before. I hope you wont send the boys around......
Now, let's talk about your blogroll......
Overnight, I had Unified Messaging enabled on my Exchange Server 2007 mailbox.
This morning I came in and went through a few different scenarios.
It all worked flawlessly.
I dialed a number and "logged" into my exchange server. After some a few security setup steps I had access to my inbox, calendar, contacts via the phone. This is called "Outlook Voice Access".
I can also get my voice mail messages sent via email and I can then listen to the voicemail from my inbox - including from Outlook Web Access. A bunch of guys in my team also got this feature enabled, and they all decided to send *ME* a test message
Anyways, I am pretty happy to be using this piece of technology. We've spoken about it and demoed it, but it's something else to be finally using it.
Articles & White Papers
Recently, there were a series of Dilbert strips that really struck a cord - They were 3/31, 4/02, 4/03, 4/04, 4/05, 4/06, 4/07
Here's one of them
Can anyone else relate?
Well, that very week I met with an Australian company called Corporate Knowhow that has been working on the same problem and has come up with a better solution than Dogbert the Quantifier.
Corporate Knowhow is an organisational development consultancy providing consultants and corporations with unique technologies and methodologies to generate value, to develop human capital and to create sustainable competitive advantage.
Corporate Knowhow has developed Mentor, a unique software-based organisational diagnostic and development system. The system identifies the nature and source(s) of corporate performance issues, prioritises development initiatives and measures the benefits arising from implementation. The result is sustained high levels of corporate effectiveness and efficiency, whilst providing an environment for accelerated individual development and engagement.
Sounds intriguing.
I need to get myself some of that!
