This post attempts to update you on the Web Application Configuration Analyzer (WACA) tool. This application was slowed because of resourcing issues. Now we’re ready to deliver some cool new features and designs.
We’ve cleaned our product backlog and I’m working with our customers to identify a global stack rank. There are a few items I’m pushing to be in the front of the queue because its structural work needed for future releases. Below are just a few of top items. Not all of these will be worked on during this up and coming sprint that kicks off next week, however. This list is being provided to give users an idea of where we’re headed and what we’re working on. If you use the tool and have other requests please let me know.
The product backlog contains the following items:
· Operating system validation to help eliminate false positives – structure work
· Ensuring iis 7 validations exist.
· Creating a plug in model to load export formats on demand – structure work
· Creating an export format for our internal SDL
· Creating better bug resolution text included in the xml
· Ensuring we’re compliance with our internal Infosec deployment review check list
· SharePoint validation
· Incorporating CAT.NET Configuration Rules
· Cleaning the code base eliminating FxCop errors and some Style cop errors
That’s it for now.
