The CAT.NET team has been working on a few issues the FxCop development team identified and asked us to implement.  There were a couple of code fixes they recommended that are going to really help performance.  These fixes should make performance outstanding compared to our beta!  We are trying to nail down our release - unfortunately, we can’t share they because they’re too fluid right now, but they are coming together.

In the meantime, we’re going to run performance testing on CAT.NET.  We want to be able to provide a baseline from our 1.1.1.9 version and compare it to our new 2.0 version.  This is pretty exciting because we’ve never done performance testing on CAT.NET.  Everyone is interested in the results including us!  Because we have a dependency of another group we’ll not see results of the performance testing until next week.
