The F# Outlining extension to Visual Studio is an F# community extension to Visual Studio for use with Visual Studio 2010, 2012 and 2013 provided by Victor Milovanov.

By installing this extension you can add standard code outlining and collapsing capabilities to Visual Studio. The extension has received good reviews on Visual Studio Gallery, and the author is accepting donations to encourage further development.

The shortcuts keys for expand collapse are -

Collapse current - CTRL+M, CTRL+S
Collapse All - CTRL+M, CTRL+A
Expand current - CTRL+M, CTRL+E
Expand All - CTRL+M, CTRL+X

You can install the extension via the Visual Studio Extension Gallery

  • Thanks for and and all F# tooling! Looks like there no options settings for this component? Would be nice to have an option to not see the outlining widgets/rule-lines unless you hover over the area. (Or an option to set the color of the boxes/lines.)

  • Thanks for the F# collapsing support. Can you please bring collapsing  support for CSS in VS 2012.

    VS2013 already has this support.

  • works great with Steve Dower's Indent Guides (v14.0.0.0)
