Defective HP Laptops

So, I just found out that the laptop that failed on me during my finals (while I was working on my MBA last year) was one that potentially had a defective graphics card, that HP knew about it, and they then potentially lied to me about why it was broken...

According to this Gizmodo article, you can now download multitouch firmware for the Dell Latitude. I wonder how useful this is in the existing Vista applications... One comment mentions that there is Web-page panning which sounds pretty awesome to...
