CMAP Main Meeting

UMBC Technology Center

1450 South Rolling Road
Halethorpe, MD 21227

Main Topic

Applying Architecture and Design Patterns in VB.NET

Presented by Martin Shoemaker

To kick-off the fall season CMAP presents a very timely topic.  Martin Shoemaker, our second consecutive Microsoft MVP presenter, will give us the opportunity to learn how to merge the theoretical with the practical, while speaking about Applying Architecture and Design Patterns in VB.NET.

Martin brings an impressive resume to our floor, as a speaker, industry leader, and author, including UML Applied: A .NET Perspective. He has spoken before a broad spectrum of user groups, corporations, and educational institutions throughout the country. Such as: Microsoft, Intermec, Siemens Dematic, University of Michigan, Target, LaBatts, NISC, and Silicon Energy.

Martin is a consultant and mentor, who provides services to clients that require high quality design services. His latest development project is Tablet UML, a low cost UML tool for the Tablet PC.

Of course, a real CMAP meeting has many installments. Our third chapter of CMAP’s ASP.NET 2.0 mini-series, presented by Christopher Steen, will be on Web Parts. Do not forget to bring a newcomer and collect a free raffle ticket. We will have plenty of pizza and refreshments.

Every CMAP meeting has shown increased attendance since relocating to the UMBC Tech Center. Your ongoing support enables the CMAP executive board to continue to improve the quality of programming we offer the community. Help us continue the positive trend by attending the next meeting and bringing your friend and/or colleague, and by sending your comments to suggestions@cmap-online.org. Directions to the UMBC Technology Center are below.
