From my friends at BaltoMSDN:

The May BaltoMSDN meeting is coming up next week:

6:30pm - 9:00pm

Double Feature

Description:
Dan Kahler - What's new in T-SQL in SQL Server 2005

Transact-SQL has long been the basis for all programmability of SQL Server. SQL Server 2005 provides many new language capabilities for developing scalable database applications. These enhancements include error handling, new recursive query capabilities, and support for new SQL Server Database Engine capabilities.

This presentation will focus mainly on conceptually new relational enhancements that will be demonstrated through practical examples.

Mark Lindell - Data Binding with Windows Forms 2.0

The most expensive code developers build is located in the user interface. Designing systems with a loose coupling between the user interface and business logic become more important as systems grow in size. Microsoft's previous attempts at data binding solutions left many of us are scratching our heads when attempting to implement real-world solutions.

.NET 2.0 brings many significant enhancements and new features to Data Binding that allows significant power and control. Experts agree that Microsoft finally got it right!

This presentation will walk through of hands on examples of using the new features including the new DataGridView control, Table Adapters, the Data Binding Interfaces, custom data bound objects and collections, and input validation and error handling.
