About The High Altitude Developer

The "High Altitude Developer" is really Geoff Darst.  I am a Senior Software Design Engineer on the Visual Studio Tools For Office team.  During the VSTO 3.0 product cycle I switched over to the test side of the house where I am currently developing test tools to help manage the tremendous complexity wrought by both the product itself and the test matrix.

Since Redmond is close to sea level you might be wondering about my blog name.  While I occassionally get back to Redmond to show my face to the team, I work out of my home which is located at 9,100 feet high in Colorado ski country.  If I'm slow responding to blog comments, it probably means that its a powder day here :-).
