I have a masters degree in Applied Economics and started my professional career with teaching at the University of Brussels (Belgium). After 3 years about statistics, telecommunication and informatics, I joined a holding company active in the aviation industry where I learned all about software development. My next employer was a small Microsoft and Progress consultancy firm where I meet "real" Microsoft people and after 2 years I finally joined Microsoft. I work since March 1st 2002 for this company in different roles. Currently I am part of the Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa HeadQuarters Events Team where I am responsible for organizing our big technical training conference, meaning Tech Ed: Developers and Tech Ed: IT Forum.
My blog objective is to provide you with background information about the organization of these technical events, added with insights on how to manage large projects.
