&lt;p&gt;I checked with the development team and they mentioned that it was documented a while ago here: &lt;a rel="nofollow" target="_new" href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh670607.aspx"&gt;msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh670607.aspx&lt;/a&gt; (backwards compatibility section). I agree that it might not be easily discoverable but in the future please stay tuned to the CRM development team blog (&lt;a rel="nofollow" target="_new" href="http://blogs.msdn.com/crm"&gt;http://blogs.msdn.com/crm&lt;/a&gt;) for announcement on such changes.&lt;/p&gt;
