An excellent example of how the Cloud changes everything is M@ilPost.  It is the service of the Tunisian Post that gives every citizen a secure personal email linked to their physical address. Much more than an e-mail service, M@ilPost is an innovative communication services platform.  La Poste Tunisienne makes available to citizens and businesses a secure communication platform that ensures the security, authenticity and reliability of electronic exchanges. It's goal is to facilitate communication between citizens and administration, citizens and economic operators, citizens and social security agencies (such as the CNAM,...).  It represents an essential component of their overall e-Gov plan.  By implementing  M@ilPostLa Poste Tunisienne has created a nationwide secure platform for providing services (physical, electronic and mobile) between authenticated users and service providers complete with financial transactions and reporting service (SMS, email, notices,...).

Upon activation of your account, you get systematically following basic services:

·     An e-mail to send and receive email, service

·     A digital postal box: where you can receive e-mail about administrative notices, invoices and notifications.

·     Users can choose which organizations to interact with including companies, or agencies such as (La Poste, organization of social security, General Government, providers of internet services, institutions banking,...).

M@ilPost offers notifications by SMS or e-mail when an e-mail message is delivered in your digital post office box. Services available include notifications about:

·     Payments and withdrawals to your online account

·     Receipt of international mandates,

·     Notices and related to the reimbursement of the costs of care delivered by the CNAM, transfers

·     Delivery of your shipments with reimbursement of the costs of care to the CNAM bulletins.

·     Access to future innovative services and high value added through the adoption of digital means of exchanges of letters and documents using a multi-channel communication (Internet, SMS, MMS,...).

This is the first step in a larger plan to tranform government services and was implemented using Microsoft's Cloud technology with hosted Exchange as the underlying platform.
