This purpose of this post is to provide a comprehensive set of links focused on Gov 2.0 tools, technologies and solutions.  It was created as a set of summary links from a WPC 2010 session but I plan to maintain it as a permanent source of information for what Microsoft is doing in Gov 2.0.

Our vision for Gov 2.0 is Openness leads to better Engagement that is needed for Citizen-Centric services in order to drive real Transformation.  These are the pillars aligning to why all governments will use Gov 2.0 in the future.

  • Openness - this is about providing information to people who have an interest in contributing to society or the mission of the organization
  • Engagement  - this is about including demographics who traditionally couldn’t or wouldn’t participate
  • Citizen-Centric - this is about making it easy to do business with government by allowing citizens choose how, when, where to interact
  • Transformation - Government transformation is ultimate goal. Leveraging technology, openness and community to change government
