It’s day three here in New Orleans, and the past few days have been full of sessions, meetings, demos, and newsworthy announcements! I want to quickly recap just a few of them that our GP Insiders not attending may find interesting…
Those are just a few of the newsworthy happenings going on this week at Convergence. I’d keep going, but I’ve got to get over to the Convention Center for Kevin Schofield’s keynote. Kevin is the GM of Microsoft Research and will be showcasing some of the awesome technology his group is creating behind the closed doors of MS Research. It will be a fun glimpse into the future!
Take care GP Insiders…we’ll catch you later!

Make sure you catchup on more Convergence news from the official Dynamics GP blog.
For those of you who were unable to attend Convergence 2009 in New Orleans, there are a number of posts
You state in this blog that Extender "is on sale now." I have look on PartnerSource but cannot find any reference to a sale or discount.
Sorry if I wasn't clear! What I meant is that with the price of Extender going up on August 1st as a result of the increased functionality, customers can buy it NOW (or anytime before 8/1) at the current price and essentially receive the new features and functionality without paying the higher price! While not an "official" sale, we do think it is a great opportunity for customers to buy it today and get the new stuff for "free". Hope that makes sense. :)
If you'd like to take MS Dynamics for a test drive, Microsoft has published role-based and industry-based Microsoft Dynamics product information and trial software on the Everyone Gets It site here http://www.microsoft.com/dynamics/everyonegetsit/.
Microsoft Official GP blog in one if it posts mentioned some progresses about what they internally call
"Microsoft Dynamics CRM Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics GP".
Is this the follow-up of the "Microsoft CRM Connector for Microsoft Dynamics GP" that is supported dynamics GP 8/9 and dynamics CRM 3.0 and will this product implement BizTalk 2006/MSMQ messaging?
This is an entirely new product, not really a "follow-up" from the previous CRM Connector product linking older versions of the two apps. It is NOT based on Biz Talk as was the previous tool. More details will be shared about this exciting new product later this spring/summer. Thanks for your interest!
Thanks for the quick response. So until that time, late summer (US), the option for an integration solution between Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM is either a third party product, Scribe / Nolan or a custom integration implementation based on BizTalk 2006, BizTalk CRM 4.0 adapter and eConnect for GP.
That is correct JP!
