One of the Windows Presentation Foundation demos that I always like to demo (aside from the feature montage) is the AllScripts / Contoso health prototype that provides some fantastic examples of different WPF technologies and techniques.

I particularly like this demo because:

  • It's really (really) sexy.
  • Its a good example of a differentiated user experience.
  • It demonstrates new paradigms for visualizing large amounts of information in a consumable way.
  • It includes a gadget that demonstrates popping alerts through the Windows Vista sidebar.

So why am I telling you this?

Well... the demo, script (the demo kind, not the medical kind :-) and source code has just been posted to our favorite community site NetFx3 by Karsten Januszewski.

You can grab it and pull it apart at: http://wpf.netfx3.com/files/folders/applications/entry6608.aspx
