Visual Studio Team System is Microsoft’s new toolset for software development projects. Team System provides design, development, test, and communications tools for architects, developers, and testers, integrated into Visual Studio and Microsoft Office. Tonight (sorry about the late notice!) I'll be in Roanoke, VA at Roanoke .NET doing a tour of Team System!

Roanoke Vallet .NET meets in the training room at the Advance Auto Parts corporate offices at Crossroads Mall at 6:00 PM. They have a home page, and there's also an RVNUG mailing list.

• From I-581, take the Hershberger exit, towards Valley View Mall.
• You will cross over I-581 and Crossroads Mall will be on your left.
• Turn left at the light into Crossroads Mall.
• Facing the mall, you will see a BooksAMillion to your left with Circuit City and Blockbuster to your right.
• Turn right and go around the corner of the mall.  You should see a sign that says Advance Auto Parts Administrative Offices. Enter through the Advance Auto Parts doors, not the Mall entrance.

Visual Studio Team System aims to solve the problems facing every enterprise-level team and helps increase the predictability of success. Team System extends Visual Studio from simply a tool for writing and debugging .NET code into a set of deeply integrated tools that support the complete software development lifecycle. All formal roles are called out from manager to architect, developer and tester. This session will detail an end-to-end lifecycle scenario that not only demonstrates major components of Team System, but also illustrates the value of having a customizable integrated process in breaking down information silos and providing friction-free flow of data between team roles.
